PD Mixer, the equipment used to produce active materials, is equipped with a twist blade that enables planetary motion, so it is capable of powerful mixing, stirring, and dispersion without damaging the raw materials as a single mixer.
Coater
The electrode coater produces electrode rolls by coating and drying active materials of Li-ion battery that are produced in the mixer onto a current collector (anode-copper foil, cathode-aluminum foil).
Press/Calendar
The press is used to reduce the thickness of electrodes and increase energy density by applying pressure and heat to electrode roll which is completed in the coating process.
Slitter
An electrode slitter cuts the coated or uncoated portion of a rolled (pressed/calendered) electrode roll to the desired width.
Vacuum Dryer
A vacuum dryer is equipment that dries the cathode or anode after completing the coating process and removing the solvent in the slurry.
Notching
The equipment processes to shape electrodes into a tab form using a mold or laser on an electrode plate which is coated with cathode/anode active materials.
Stacking
The equipment inserts the cathode and anode electrodes shaped by the notching machine, and then laminates them between a Z-shaped separator to create a single jelly roll.
Winding
The equipment makes a jelly roll by winding a total of 4 rolls, including a cathode roll, an anode roll, and two separator rolls that have been completed the electrode process.
Formation
The equipment generates electrical characteristics to a completed cell by charging and discharging it.
Electro Magnetic Filter
The equipment is a sophisticated magnetic separator that can remove trace amounts of iron up to PPB units contained in the cathode material of secondary batteries.
